What is a Certified Incentive Travel Executive (CITE)?
  • Mark of distinction that will help you set you apart from other incentive travel practitioners
  • High level of competency, especially in the incentive travel industry which is so dependent on personal referrals and mutual trust
  • Select group of distinguished professionals worldwide who have gone one step beyond, demonstrating their extensive knowledge of the industry and achieving its highest standard of excellence


How do I earn my CITE?

Earning your CITE requires the completion of the following six steps:
  1. Achievement of 100 points for a combination of industry experience and activities in SITE – refer to the Point Qualification Chart below
  2. Payment of the US$600 application fee
  3. Choose a mentor – this person must a SITE member and a CITE
  4. Successful completion of the three hour written CITE examination. (A Study Guide will be available to assist you in your preparation)
  5. Choose a topic for your research paper and submit an outline for approval
  6. Preparation of a 3,000 word original research paper with bibliography


Will my CITE bring me special recognition?
  • Upon passing the exam and research paper, you will receive a gold lapel pin and plaque at an official SITE event to recognize your outstanding achievement amongst your peers worldwide
  • Adding CITE to your business card, marketing materials and proposals will show your customers and partners your commitment to the incentive travel industry
